Chris Spelman was given a Lambretta LI 150 by a friend of the family in 1977. "When I first saw Allan ride up on it I thought that it was the coolest thing on the road." Allan Readfern was a Social worker/playwright and was a regular at the Humberside Theatre on Spring Street in Hull, I spent most of my youth there. As a young lad with no fear I eventually asked Allan if I could have his Lambretta. I was shocked when he said "Yes when I've finished with it." He was true to his word and one Saturday afternoon he arrived at our house and left it on the driveway, knocked at the door, and said "There you are". I was the proud owner at last of an LI 150. I was fourteen years old and my feet only just touched the ground. It had a large windshield on the front and was all as original with two single seats and it was just a little grubby. Oh what I would do to have it in that condition now. But 30 years on and I still own a Lambretta and have had loads of scooters and made many friends over the years so here is a site about them and my experiences. Enjoy.
